Diet & Lifestyle

The basic principle of the Ayurvedic system of medicine is “Swasthyasya Swasthya Rakshanam,” to maintain the health of the healthy, and “Aturasya Vikara Prashamanancha,” to cure the diseases of the diseased.

Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences that developed together and influence each other. They both combine diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes to treat and prevent illness. Specific natural herbs and spices are also an important component of their approach. They protect the body from disease and offer a variety of health benefits, including improved gut and brain health. As this article from Harvard Health shows, the brain is directly connected to the gut; therefore, a healthy gut is essential for a healthy mind.

Ayurveda is effective for a vast majority of diseases that affect the body, including skin diseases, ailments of the bones and joints (e.g., arthritis, etc.), diabetes and other hormone-related diseases, and nervous system disorders like paralysis, epilepsy, etc. It is also helpful in ailments that are recurring and persistent and have no definitive treatment in other systems of medicine.

Each person’s constitution is different, and after analysis we create a dietary plan and lifestyle changes according to the individual constitution or requirements. We offer both Ayurvedic and Yogic Diet plans. Yoga diet is based on nutritional and mind science. Ayurveda diet works on Tridosha along with mind science.
